About Myrtha
Born and raised in Chicoutimi. I studied classical flute at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec. This rich musical experience led me to obtain a bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
Thanks to this musical expertise, I joined CBC/Radio-Canada, where I worked mainly for nearly thirty-five years producing television concerts, operas and international documentaries.
Being attracted by all all artistic types of expression, I have been seduced by mixed media technique that allows me to explore multiple avenues and express my unconditional passion for nature, which is my source of inspiration. My artistic approach is to honor nature and its treasures, to humbly give a second life to the archetypes that I find in the woods or near rivers and on the St. Lawrence River shores.
My musical training is very present throughout the creative process because it punctuates and harmonizes in a subtle way each gesture, each movement that I give to my paintings. It is a very guiding and inseparable asset.
I am very happy to be able to share my sensitivity with you through my work and I sincerely hope that I will suceed in touching your heart.
Thank you for visiting my website.
